Classes and Workshops

Once again, I'm offering a fall paper-making class at Mt. Pisgah Arboretum, in Buford Park just southeast of Eugene. It's a beautiful location (most of the class pictures on this website were taken there), and weather permitting, we'll set up outside under the oak trees.

Papermaking with Natural Materials
Sunday, September 14, 2-4 pm
Mt. Pisgah Arboretum, 34901 Frank Parrish Road (off Seavey Loop), Eugene
Instructor: Denise Gosar
Learn to incorporate nature into art at this papermaking workshop. Students can choose from a variety of pulps and add their own unique touch with natural dyes and decorative ingredients. Everyone takes home a finished product!
In addition to hands-on practice in this ancient art, students will learn about the diversity of fibers available for paper making (including many common garden plants) and creative uses for handmade paper.
2 hours of instruction, materials included.

Fee: $10 adults/ $5 kids
Register at (541) 747-1504.

I'm also teaching a four-session fall papermaking class at the University of Oregon Craft Center. Check the Craft Center website for more information, or to see when registration begins.
